2025 in Review

BOSTON, MA – December 31, 2025 – Health services insights developed by Payer+Provider were delivered in a variety of academic and industry settings in 2025. Topics addressed included cyberchondria measurement, biopsychosocial approaches to traumatic brain injury and PTSD treatment, chronic pain management, and health IT operations.

  • In 2025, Payer+Provider-developed posters were presented at several conferences. These included presentations at the 42nd Annual Conference of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (March), the American Academy of Pain Medicine in Austin, TX (April), the American Occupational Health Conference of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in Austin, TX (April), the American Society of Pain & Neuroscience Conference in Miami Beach, FL (July), and PAINWeek in Las Vegas, NV (September).
  • In February, Payer+Provider’s President, Adam C. Powell, Ph.D. presented a lecture on Health IT to students studying healthcare operations and supply chain management at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business in Boston, MA.
  • Later in April, Dr. Powell delivered a masterclass titled “Using Real-World Healthcare Data for Outcomes Research” at Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson College of Population Health (virtual; recording available at https://jdc.jefferson.edu/masterclass/1).
  • In June, Dr. Powell presented Implementation of the Cyberchondria Severity Scale in the Empirical Literature at the Society for Digital Mental Health Annual Meeting (virtual, with Cayetana Calderon-Smith).

In addition to the above, Payer+Provider continued work on multiple confidential client projects. The firm supports healthcare organizations in measuring impact, developing products, and strategizing for the future. While many engagements remain private, Payer+Provider shares applicable insights with the broader industry and academic communities whenever possible.
