Dr. Concannon’s findings on access to angioplasty published in Circulation
Thomas W. Concannon, Ph.D. has had his findings on the availability of angioplasty published in the January 2011 issue of Circulation. Dr. Concannon found that while over a five-year period, there has been a 44 percent increase in the number of hospitals offering emergency care such as angioplasty to restore normal blood flow after a heart attack, access to care has improved by only 1 percent.
